Tonight is the last lunar eclipse of 2023

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will be able to see the final lunar eclipse of 2023 this evening, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

On Friday, October 27, at 11:02 p.m., the eclipse will start, and on Saturday, October 28, at 1:14 a.m., it Moon will peak. On Saturday, October 28, at 3:26 AM, the eclipse will come to an end.

During a lunar eclipse, the Earth casts its shadow on the Moon. This can cause the Moon to appear dimmer or even turn a reddish color.

The PMD has advised the public to take precautions when viewing the lunar eclipse, as direct sunlight can damage the eyes. People can use special eclipse glasses or project the image of the eclipse onto a screen to view it safely. – INP
