Saudi Mission to Visit Pakistan for Trade Talks

A 50-member delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will arrive in Pakistan on Sunday, May 5th, for business-to-business (B2B) meetings aimed at fostering trade deals and investments in joint ventures with Pakistani entrepreneurs.

Scheduled from May 6th to 7th, the talks will cover various sectors of the economy, with anticipated progress on government-to-business (G2B) and government-to-government (G2G) deals.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has established a 16-member steering committee to oversee the Saudi delegation’s visit. The committee, chaired by the petroleum minister, organizes business meetings and finalizes security arrangements.

Federal ministers of trade, privatization, power, and industry and production, along with the Pakistani ambassador to Saudi Arabia and officials from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, form part of the committee.

Additional members include the deputy chairman of the Planning Commission, the minister of state for IT, and secretaries from various ministries, including power, petroleum, home, trade, and the investment board.
