Latif Khosa “reminded repeatedly that he should not cross the party line and the prescribed limits. But he did not follow the instructions,” the official said.
The attorney general of Pakistan (AGP), Khosa, allegedly wanted his son to appointed in addition to using his position as the party’s lawyer to benefit from other privileges.
When his request to appoint his son to the AGP was denied, he accused Khosa of extorting money from the party leadership.
Khosa, a former Punjab governor, had recently proposed to the PPP leadership that it should part ways with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) to strengthen its position in Punjab.
