PM laid the foundation stone of C-5 Nuclear Power Project

CHASHMA: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has laid the foundation stone of the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant aka C-5 nuclear power project.

Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir, Ahsan Iqbal, and Chinese officials with the PM, C-5 nuclear power project will generate 1200 MW of electricity. And the establishment of the -5 nuclear power project will reduce the shortfall of electricity by 1200 MW.

It should remembered that the agreement of the C-5 nuclear power project signed in 2017. The project delayed for the last 5 years, but due to the efforts of the PM. The cost reduced, and the capacity was increased from 1100 to 1200 megawatts.

Under the PM vision of low-cost and environment-friendly electricity, work on the project is resuming.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain is predicted to fall in the Karachi and surrounding areas tonight and on Saturday night while the remainder of Sindh will continue to experience hot, muggy weather.

Sindh districts including Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad and Larkana will likely receive isolated dust with thunderstorm. And light rain during the evening and/or night.
