Pakistan China have signed 23 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen collaboration in various sectors, including transportation infrastructure, industry, energy, agriculture, media, healthcare, water management, and socioeconomic development.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Premier Li Qiang led delegation-level discussions in Beijing, reaffirming the robust Pakistan-China Strategic Cooperative Partnership based on mutual trust, shared principles, and strategic governance.

Both nations pledged unwavering support for each other’s key concerns and reiterated their commitment to advancing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and completing ongoing projects on time.

PM Sharif assured China of Pakistan’s dedication to ensuring the safety and security of Chinese personnel and projects, safeguarding CPEC from detractors and adversaries.

The two countries agreed to sustain high-level engagements, bolster institutional connections across all sectors, and continue consultations on bilateral and global issues, especially during Pakistan’s upcoming non-permanent membership on the UN Security Council.

During his visit, PM Sharif engaged with Chinese investors and entrepreneurs, promoting investment opportunities in Pakistan and facilitating the signing of numerous MoUs in sectors like economy, green energy, textiles, and manufacturing.

Before departing for China, PM Sharif expressed his intention to foster mutually beneficial investments and enhance relations between Chinese and Pakistani businesses, highlighting the potential for significant benefits for both countries.

This development marks a significant milestone in Pakistan-China relations, demonstrating their commitment to cooperation and mutual growth. The signed MoUs are expected to bring substantial investments and benefits to both nations, further strengthening their strategic partnership.

The visit has also underscored Pakistan’s importance in China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and CPEC, with both countries reaffirming their dedication to the project’s timely completion. As Pakistan and China continue to bolster their relations, their partnership is likely to have far-reaching implications for regional and global dynamics.
