ISLAMABAD: In a surprising turn of events, Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI Chief, cast a vote of ‘no-trust’ against Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Aamer Farooq on Thursday.

The revelation occurred during a hearing on a plea seeking a private meeting between Bushra Bibi and her incarcerated husband, PTI Chairman, in Adiala Jail.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the IHC CJ, Bushra Bibi requested the transfer of her plea to another bench.

 Her lawyer argued before the IHC, asserting that the decisions made by the current bench were ‘same in nature.’

Throughout the hearing, the attorney implored the IHC CJ to “transfer all of our cases to another bench.” In response to the plea, the IHC CJ issued a warning against offensive language. And promised that the issue will be taken into consideration.

The court then sent notices about Bushra Bibi’s plea to the bar councils.

Interestingly, the PTI chief’s wife emphasized in her petition that she was allowed to see her husband every Tuesday under court orders.

She requested permission for private talks with the PTI leader. At Adiala Jail after voicing concerns about the lack of privacy during these discussions because jail staff was present.
