All arrangements have been made for the soft launch, which will be carried out by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Airport Details

The airport, located 26 km north-east of the existing Gwadar airport, was built on 3,000 acres of land provided by the government. With a cost of Rs54.98 billion, it is Pakistan’s second greenfield airport after Islamabad.

Capacity and Capabilities

The airport will handle a range of aircraft, including ATR 72, Airbus, Boeing (B-737), and Boeing (B-747), for domestic and international routes.

Completion Timeline

Only 4% of the operational portion remains unfinished, with other developmental works expected to be completed by December 2025.
