Mastung blast: IG presents initial probe report to CM Ali Mardan

QUETTA: The interim chief minister (CM), Ali Mardan Khan Domki, received the preliminary investigation report of the Mastung suicide blast on Friday, according to the private news channel.

Ali Mardan Khan Domki, the acting chief minister of Balochistan, presided over a high-level meeting to assess the status of the investigation into the suicide bombing in Mastung.

Participants in the session briefed by IG Balochistan Abdul Khaliq Shaikh. According to him, the terrorist detonated a suicide bomb using six to eight kg of explosives.

Eight of the injured people, according to the health secretary, are in critical condition.

The acting CM claimed that the first evidence of the Mastung blast had surfaced. And that those responsible would shortly face justice.

CM Domki said that the families of the martyred citizens will given compensation money and the provincial government will bear all medical expenses of the wounded persons.

At least 54 people killed. While more than 100 wounded in a blast that took place in Balochistan’s Mastung district on Friday.

According to the district administration, Mastung’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nawaz Gashkori was among the deceased.

Police said the explosion was a “suicide blast” and that the bomber exploded himself next to DSP Gishkori’s car.
