Maria B criticises Drama ‘Kuch Ankahi’ for promoting ‘Joyland’

Renowned fashion designer Maria B leaves no chance to be in a headline for the controversial statement made against LGBTQ.

Last time, she landed herself in hot water after posting multiple stories against the release of the movie Joyland and this time to the designer is back again with another rant about the same movie.

This time the designer posted many stories against LGBTQ of which one was about the drama serial ‘Kuch Ankahi’ which featured a glimpse of the movie ‘Joyland’ in one of its scenes.

She posted a glimpse of the movie Joyland from the drama and wrote, “We also have dramas promoting Joyland/transgenders subliminally.” She outraged on her Instagram story, “WE ARE NOT STUPID WE GET IT. WAKE UP PAKISTAN… AND SEE THE NEW AGENDA IC. Rather than trying to save Pakistan, we are selling our religious identity.”

This is not the first time Maria B has shown outrage against the movie ‘Joyland’. Earlier in November 2022 when the movie was about to get released. It the designer who demanded its screening to be banned across Pakistan.

Maria B had urged all her followers to boycott the film  because ‘it shows an extramarital affair between two men. But also encourages gender transition surgery’.

She of the view, “The west is waking up and recognizing the dangers of gender ideology which defies biological sexes and scientific facts.”
