ISLAMABAD, 17 November: The joint session of the Parliament passed the bill related to the use of electronic voting machines (EVMs) amid the hues and cry of the opposition.

The bill was presented by Adviser to Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan in the joint session of the Parliament. The crucial joint session of Parliament is currently underway.

Earlier, the motion was presented by Parliamentary Adviser, Dr Babar Awan. 221 members from the treasury benches supported the motion, while 203 opposition members opposed the motion.

Later, the joint sitting also passed the Second Electoral Amendment Bill 2021.

Following the passage of the bills, the opposition started making hues and cry and tore the copies of the agenda.

The Speaker NA tried to maintain the decorum of the house, but the opposition continued disturbing the house.
