Imran Khan Seeks Court Permission for Personal Doctors to Conduct Medical Checkup

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to allow his personal doctors to conduct a medical checkup. The petition, filed through counsel Barrister Salman Safdar and Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, cites the doctors’ familiarity with Khan’s medical history.

Concerns Over Access to Information

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan expressed concerns that Khan is being denied access to newspapers and updates on constitutional amendments. However, during a meeting at Adiala Jail, Khan appeared in good physical condition and high spirits.

Khan’s Resolute Stance

“I will spend 100 years in jail if needed, but I won’t compromise on the Constitution and national sovereignty,” Khan said, as quoted by Barrister Gohar Ali Khan. This statement underscores Khan’s commitment to his principles.

Previous Medical Checkup

On October 15, Khan underwent a medical checkup at Adiala Jail, conducted by two doctors – an ENT specialist and a medical expert. The medical team confirmed that Khan is in good health and even exercised for an hour, according to Barrister Gohar Ali Khan.
