ISLAMABAD: According to a private news channel, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has accused of missing a copy of the diplomatic cipher by the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) Counter Terrorism Wing.

The complaint against the former PM had filed by the FIA on Tuesday. The probe will carried out by the Joint probe Team (JIT) looking into the cipher matter.

Azam Khan, the former prime minister’s principal secretary, summoned to appear before the joint investigation team at the FIA headquarters as part of the ongoing inquiry into the cipher incident.

It is pertinent to mention here that Azam Khan, ex-principal secretary to the PTI chairman and former prime minister made startling revelations and claimed that the former PM used US cypher for his ‘political gains’ and to avert a no-confidence motion against him.

Imran Khan, who had been “missing” since last month, unexpectedly showed up in front of the action and made shocking discoveries regarding the US Cipher while giving a magistrate his statement for the CrPC 164. The PTI chairman and former PM responded to Azam Khan’s statement by saying that he will reserve judgment till all the facts are known. He claimed that the circumstances surrounding Azam Khan’s words are yet unknown.

However, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah asserted that the confessional statement of ex-principal secretary Azam Khan a ‘charge sheet’ against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan. And the latter should punished for anti-state ‘cypher drama’.
