Election 2024: ECP completes the design of the polling place

ISLAMABAD: In preparation for the 2024 elections, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has completed the design of polling places throughout the nation. More than 92,000 polling places will set up nationwide to enable voting, according to official documents.

The detailed polling plan will made available to the public fifteen days prior to the election. Which is currently set for February 8. By being open and honest. This strategy seeks to guarantee informed voting and resolve any possible issues well in advance of election day.

The layout of polling places in each of the four provinces and the federal capital is specified in the plan. Punjab will have the most stations—51,821—due to its larger population and 438 national and provincial assembly seats. With 19,236 stations for its 191 seats, Sindh comes in second.

Balochistan, with its 66 seats, is set to have 5,015 polling stations. While Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s 160 seats will covered by 15,737 stations. Islamabad, with its 3 National Assembly seats, will host 990 polling stations.

All eligible citizens should be able to vote with ease and efficiency thanks to the ECP’s careful planning. Voters are able to prepare their participation by becoming familiar with their closest polling place. And using the detailed polling scheme that is released well in advance.

The ECP’s thorough and transparent polling station setup process lays the groundwork for a seamless. And inclusive electoral process as the elections get closer. Eagerly awaited by voters and political parties alike, the final polling plan’s release in mid-January represents a major step toward the pivotal vote on February 8.
