Dr Moeed Yusuf appointed BNU VC

LAHORE: Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Pakistan’s first not-for-profit liberal arts university, has appointed Dr Moeed Yusuf as its third Vice Chancellor (VC).

According to a press release, with his extensive expertise in academia and policy making and passion for educational excellence, Dr Moeed Yusuf brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the prestigious institution.

Dr. Yusuf was welcomed as the VC by the BNU Chairperson, Board of Governors, Mrs. Nasreen Mahmud Kasuri, as well as members of the Board of Governors Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri, Kasim Kasuri, Dr. Parvez Hassan, Moeen Afzal, and Dr. Ishrat Hussain.

PM’s laptop scheme 2023, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif Coordinator on Economy and Energy Bilal Azhar Kayani said that the upcoming federal will encompass special incentives for IT start-ups.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, he said that 100,000 laptops will given to the youth this year under Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme.

According to the Higher Education Commission (HEC), students can apply through a dedicated online portal https://laptop.pmyp.gov.pk/.

The eligibility criteria for awarding laptops to the students is that they must be studying in Public Sector Universities/Degree Awarding Institutes duly recognized by HEC. Students must enrolled till June 30, 2023. (read more)
