A recent surge in dengue cases has been reported in Punjab, with 172 new cases emerging in the last 24 hours. Rawalpindi accounted for the majority of these cases, with 157 reported, followed by Lahore with 8 cases, and Jhelum with 2 cases. Other districts, including Gujranwala, Chakwal, Attock, Sargodha, and Okara, each reported one case.

Total Cases in Punjab

Over the past week, 904 new cases of dengue virus infection were identified, bringing the total number of cases in Punjab for the year 2024 to 3,771.
