COAS General Asim Munir’s UK Visit

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir is currently on an official visit to the United Kingdom, where he was briefed on the modernisation plan of the British Army and Deep Recce Strike Brigade. This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening military ties between Pakistan and the UK.
Field Visit to Warminster and Larkhill Garrisons
General Asim Munir had a field visit to Warminster and Larkhill Garrisons at the invitation of General Roland Walker, CGS UK Army. During the visit, the British Army showcased niche technologies, including AI and uncrewed systems. This exchange of knowledge and expertise will undoubtedly benefit both countries.
Ceremonial Guard of Honour
The army chief received a ceremonial guard of honour during his visit to the UK on February 19. This gesture reflects the strong bond between the two nations.
Participation in the Regional Stabilisation Conference
COAS General Asim Munir is set to participate in the seventh Regional Stabilisation Conference at the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He will present the keynote address titled ‘The Emerging World Order and Pakistan’s Future Outlook’. This conference aims to facilitate military dialogue between Pakistan and the UK, encouraging collaboration among policymakers and representatives from influential think tanks.
A Strong Stance Against Terrorism
Earlier, General Asim Munir reiterated that the Armed Forces will not let Fitna al-Khawarij impose their ideology on Pakistan. He emphasized that the Pakistan Army is actively fighting against miscreants and Khawarij elements. General Munir also highlighted that Islam has clear orders regarding troublemakers, and the Khawarij are those who have deviated from Islam and misinterpret its teachings.
