On Thursday, a suicide strike on a military convoy in Bannu resulted in the deaths of nine soldiers.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a motorcycle-riding suicide bomber detonated on a convoy in Jani Khel, Bannu.

Nine troops, including Naib Subedar Sanober Ali, lost their lives as a result of the attack. Five additional soldiers were hurt in the incident, according to the ISPR.

The area has been cordoned off, and a clearance operation is underway to find any terrorists, according to the statement.
