Nawaz Sharif Pledges Relief for Electricity Consumers
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has vowed to provide more relief to Pakistan’s electricity consumers, criticizing the previous PTI government’s policies for pushing people into a quagmire of expensive electricity and inflation.
Consistent Relief Efforts
Nawaz emphasized that Pakistan Muslim League (N) is the only party that has consistently provided comfort to the people in difficult times. He prioritized stabilizing the economy and reducing electricity bills, mentioning that his party has already provided relief to domestic consumers and is now working to find solutions for industrial consumers.
Relief Package
Nawaz announced a major comfort for electricity consumers in Punjab, focusing on low-income households. Consumers using up to 500 units of electricity will receive a relief of Rs 14 per unit. This relief package will cost the Punjab government Rs 45 billion.
Solar Panel Scheme
Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz will launch a solar panel scheme to provide further comfort. The Punjab government has allocated Rs 700 billion for the scheme, which will help reduce electricity bills in the future.

The party’s leadership emphasized that true leadership requires providing comfort to the people and that they will continue to work towards this goal. Nawaz praised Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz for her efforts in providing relief to the people.
