 Judge Issues Notices in Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s Appeal Case

Decision Expected Within 10 Days

Additional District and Sessions Judge (AD&SJ) Islamabad, Muhammad Afzal Majoka, has taken a significant step in the appeal case of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, who were convicted in the Nikah-in-iddat case.

Notices Issued to Parties Involved

The judge has issued notices to all parties involved in the case, setting a deadline of June 21 for the complainant, Khawar Maneka, and his lawyer to appear before the court.

Warning to Complainant and Lawyer

Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka warned that if Khawar Maneka and his lawyer fail to appear on the designated date, a decision will be made based on the available records.

Assurance of Timely Decision

The judge assured that he will announce his decision on the appeals within 10 days, provided he remains alive. He clarified that scheduling for the next day was not possible due to numerous pending bail applications, but promised to deliver a verdict even if the other party fails to appear.

Next Hearing Scheduled

The court has scheduled the next hearing for June 21, expecting the complainant and his lawyer to appear before the court.
