Pakistan Eid ul Adha 2023 moon: When will Zil Hajj start?

In order to sight the Zil Hajj moon, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet today (Monday), according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

In a statement, the ministry said the committee would meet under the leadership of its chairman, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

The Department of Meteorology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Religious Affairs, SUPARCO, and others will send representatives.

Pakistan Eid ul Adha 2023 moon: When will Zil Hajj start?

The Ruet-e-Hilal zonal committee meetings will take place in the respective cities.

The first Zil Hajj will observed on June 20 (Tuesday). And Eid ul Adha will observed on June 29 (Thursday), if the moon is seen today.

Earlier, the Met Office predicted that the moon would be born on June 18 at 9:37 p.m., and that it might be visible on June 19.

Every Islamic month on the 29th, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee convenes and announces the decision after spotting the moon.

The crescent moon for Zil Hajj sighted in Saudi Arabia on Sunday and the first day of the month is observed today (June 19).

The day of Arafah — considered the holiest in Islam — will be on Tuesday (June 27). While the first day of Eid ul Adha will celebrated on Wednesday (June 28) in the kingdom.
