80-year-old woman subjected to rape in Punjab’s Kamalia

ISLAMABAD(KAMALIA), 13 November: In a shocking incident, 80-year-old woman was allegedly rape and assault by a man in Toba Tek Singh, a district of Punjab.

According to police, the incident took place at Mauza Khokhranwali, a suburban village in Kamalia area of Toba Tek Singh.

A vagabond, identified as Bilal, son of Bakhtawar, entered the house of the old woman at night.

The investigation officer said that “old woman was asleep, tortured her by suffocating her with a string”.

He further said that ” old lady was sexually assaulted and accused person fled the scene”.

The Saddar police station, on the complaint of the woman, registered a rape case.

Police launched a search operation to arrest the suspect.

People staged a demonstration against the incident. The area police said the suspect was arrested soon.
